you didn't mind being a girl.
It was only after you met
her that you thought, "Maybe
this isn't the right fit." Because,
if you're being honest, she
deserves a knight in shining armor.
You are not Atlas, my dear.
Your shoulders do not
merit a world of troubles,
but instead love-lined clouds
that whisper, "Do not be
ashamed of who you are."
A woman can be a
champion whose heart burns
with more gold than a king's
castle holds. Perhaps if
you had more faith,
you might find that's just what
The secret: "I hope she finds someone who thinks the world of her the way I do…just in guy form. She deserves that."

I wanted to let you know that I used this poems title as a part of a title poem I recently wrote and posted on here. I of course gave you credit and provided a link to your poem on the poems page in hopes to help spread your work. Feel free to check out the poem here: strikethemadness.deviantart.co…
It fits my (totally different) situation as well.
I would very much like to say that the secret submitter just give herself the chance. There's always the possibility that the one she likes isn't as out-of-reach as she thinks.
You indeed knew how to put that feeling on the poem, is indeed so nice BEAUTIFUL! Thanks for share it with us.
It's beautifully worded with a lovely use of symbolic imagery...Love it.
I believe that you should be who you are inside and not hide who you long to be, simply because 'society' does not agree with it. Go out there, find your purpose in life and follow it ♡
Guy with a guy, girl with a girl, guy with a girl, whatever.
I'm a guy and I have a girlfriend, that's just me. I know guys who have boyfriends and girls who have girlfriends and I'm as good a friend with them as I am with anyone else. My only rule like that is that people leave me to my own sexuality and I leave them to theirs.
